The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, located on the corner of Jefferson and Willis Avenues in Mineola, announced its concert series for 2013-14. The concerts, produced by Dr. Jeanine Nagao, feature professional musicians from the Metropolitan New York and Long Island areas.
All concerts begin at 2 p.m. and are followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. The concerts are open to the public. A free will offering is requested.
The first concert for this season, “Coffee Concerts”, will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22. The ensemble features Laura Mole, violin, Catherine Brown, clarinet, and Jonathan Bley, piano. According to Ms. Mole, the goal of the “Coffee Concerts” is to “present works in a friendly setting with a chance for the audience to ask questions and to interact with the musicians.”
