Fifteen Mineola School District students will attend the 2014 Nassau All-County Art Exhibition in Ruth S. Harley Center at Adelphi University on Sunday, March 16 from noon to 4 p.m. This free exhibition will honor more than 1,200 kindergarten through 12th-grade students who have demonstrated excellence in a wide variety of two-dimensional visual art forms including drawing, painting, printmaking, computer graphics and photography.
Student entries are selected by art educators. This year, more than 400 art educators from 200 schools in Nassau County school districts have submitted student artwork for this prestigious exhibit.
For the eighth consecutive year, the Art Supervisors Association of Nassau County will present scholarships to one outstanding graduating senior from every member high school in a special scholarship awards ceremony. This year the scholarship recipient from Mineola High School is Kristen Sze-Tu.
