Scott Strauss has accomplished a great deal in just two short years at the helm of our village. Mayor Strauss has demonstrated time and again what many of us already knew about him – that he is a true leader. He has continuously put the interests of the village and its residents above all else. He has been cool under pressure when dealing with wide-ranging issues from super storm Sandy to maintaining balanced budgets.
Mayor Strauss has kept the village on the right track. He knows that although much has been accomplished, there is still more to be done in order to keep Mineola moving in the right direction. Now is not the time to change course. Now is not the time to play politics with our village’s future.
What Mayor Strauss needs in order to keep Mineola moving forward are people on the board of trustees who will put the needs and concerns of the residents of the village before all – people like George Durham and Dennis Walsh, who will put forth policies for the good of the village and the citizens of Mineola. They are men who have the foresight and consideration to review issues, propose constructive plans, and carefully evaluate the impact and benefits to the residents of Mineola prior to implementing them. They will not put personal gain or politics ahead of what is right for the people of Mineola.
On March 19, elect effective, responsible representatives that will put the concerns of the people first, not personal gain or titles. Vote to keep Mineola moving forward. Re-elect Scott Strauss and George Durham and elect Dennis Walsh. They have my vote and I hope they have yours as well.
