The Mineola School Community congratulated Quinn Paggi and Amanda Buckley on being awarded the Nassau County Physical Education Student of the Year Award. This award is presented to two students at Mineola High School each year.
This year, the High School Physical Education department felt that Amanda and Quinn displayed an overall dedication to their class work and participation in physical education that made them the unanimous selections. The award dinner was held on Dec. 12 at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
Several leaders in the field of Physical Education spoke during the night before awards were presented to Quinn and Amanda along with the other County Award recipients.
Amanda is a standout academically at Mineola. She is a top student in the class of 2012 (ranked #5) and has aspirations of attending Adelphi University. Quinn is also an excellent student and is a member of the Football, Basketball and Lacrosse teams.
Quinn is currently undecided about his future college endeavors but has several high quality institutions on his list of possibilities. Both students have also been active in student activities and community programs.
Students like Amanda and Quinn are standouts in our school community and will undoubtedly make great contributions as well rounded, physically educated students. Congratulations Amanda and Quinn.
