Courtney Capobianco enjoyed a stellar senior year as the Mineola High School girls lacrosse team looked to rebuild this season. Faced with being the captain of a young and inexperienced team, Capobianco met the challenge by letting her play do the talking.
She scored 61 goals and nabbed nine assists to lead the team to a fourth place finish in Conference IV. Her gregarious demeanor, good heart, and strong work ethic also kept the team upbeat all year and aided in their improvement.
Along with being an Academic All-American in lacrosse, Capobianco also was an accomplished volleyball player, who led her team to a semifinal berth in the county tournament. She will attend Lehigh University in the fall.
