"Does it look different?"
"No. If you look along Shore Road, today, going to Bayville, It's very similar. That's what I like about Oyster Bay: that it never changes. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm not progressive, its just nice to see - here."
Ron Dranow called to ID the April 30 picture of the intersection near Barney's Corner and the picture the week before as "The street leading to the John P. Bermingham School, but looking toward Oyster Bay village. Route 25 is in back. I used to bike ride there as a kid." He was the first one to call it the John P. Bermingham School. "He has a son who is a lawyer in town," he added.
Billy Minicozzi was very close guessing this week's picture. "It's five guys carrying the boat at the harbor. He guessed it was the Oyster Bay Rowing Team."
That's not quite the answer we are looking for.
Billy Minicozzi reported that the Bayville Fire Company team played on May 1 and beat the Sea Cliff Company. (He said he and Rosario cleaned the town board hearing room on Wednesday. Billy did the vacuuming and Rosario did the sweeping after the town board hearing on Tuesday.
The Bayville Fire Company Softball team played again on Thursday, at the Vernon School.
"We are now 1 in 2," he said. "The team won 13 to 12. "Louis Jokinski made the winning hit in the top of the eighth inning. He scored the game winning run against the East Norwich Volunteer Fire Company."
Anthony Giambrone called with a brief message, saying "I know where the mystery picture is, it's Beekman Beach!" Right!
