LV Cellular Tower Request Fails
The Oyster Bay Town Board denied the request of Joseph and Maria Gallo and New York SMSA Limited Partnership to erect a cellular tower in Locust Valley. Residents of the village had protested the proposed monopole antenna and 11 foot by 23 foot equipment room that would have been on Elm Street.

Boys and Girls Club Sports
The Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich is proud to announce Kimberly Brennan as the MVP nominee for the "Three Million Youth" served by Boys & Girls Clubs in 1998. Kimberly displayed excellent sportsmanship and dedication to her team and fellow players during the basketball season. She was also runner-up in the voting of the ROLE model award (Recognizing Outstanding Lasting Effort) as voted on by the coaches of the league.
