John DeJesu is back in town from Florida where he is living in an area called Green Acres! He identified the mystery picture as being taken in the Matinecock Masonic Lodge basement. "I don't know the two gentlemen sitting there," he said. (It's good to have you back, John!)
Billy Minicozzi guessed Taby's on Audrey Avenue. It was a good guess since the woodwork is so similar.
His sports note was: "I hope the NY Knicks win the NBA championships!"
Billy Hurley, of East Norwich is in Mr. Caputo's class at Oyster Bay High School. He recognized the picture as being taken at the Masonic Lodge. "How did you know?" we asked.
"Because my grandpop is the old man in the picture!"
His grandfather is Carl Jackson, the historian of East Norwich who does 50 pushups a day!
Mr. Jackson is sitting at a table in the Masonic Lodge with Oyster Bay Fire Company No. 1 Chief William Ferris.
Another call came in from Sassan Mesbah, a student at the Vernon Middle School. He said it was Huckleberry's. It was another good guess. He has been in the new J. D.'s American Bistro restaurant there and said he liked the food!
