How Well Do You Know the Area? Do you know where this week's picture was taken? If you do, call the Enterprise-Pilot at 747-8282 and let us know. If you have a picture that you think might be interesting for others to guess, drop it off in our box at Village Camera, 128 South Street, Oyster Bay.

Maureen McGovern called and said "Could the mystery picture be the Japanese Stroll Garden in Mill Neck/Locust Valley?!!"

Yes, it certainly can and is!

Billy Minicozzi guessed the Roosevelt Bird Sanctuary in Oyster Bay Cove. He wished Al Columbo and his wife Mary, who are getting married on Dec. 10, a great life together. Billy reported the Oak Neck Pee Wee team won the super bowl of the Nassau/Suffolk Football League.

Elizabeth Demaria and Jackie Clark also thought the picture was of the Bird Sanctuary in Oyster Bay Cove.

Paulette deFillipi guessed it was the St. John's Cemetery in Laurel Hollow.

Bonnie Gonzalez, said, "The Japanese Stroll Garden!"

Virginia Blair of East Norwich, said, 'The Japanese Stroll Garden. My husband and I just returned after five years of living in Asia and we enjoy taking a walk there, and looking at things very Asian."

Third grade teacher Richard Seigleman sent in an answer to "tweak" the editor: "My (wrong) answer: the 26 steps leading to Teddy Roosevelt's gravesite at Young's Cemetery." He wanted the newspaper to use a photo of the steps, but the editor thought the brick steps would be too hard to recognize.
