The Center for Marine Education & Recreation at Oyster Bay announced May 9, an agreement to purchase the Oyster Bay Sailing School and operate it as a not-for-profit organization following this season. FULL STORY

With just a few weeks to go, an energetic team of Friends of the Bay staff and volunteers is busy preparing for Oyster Bay's first annual Bay Day-a free community festival to celebrate the waters of Oyster Bay and Cold Spring Harbor. Scheduled for June 2, Bay Day will be held on Beekman Beach and will feature environmental exhibits and water-related recreational activities. FULL STORY

The OBEN spring season is well under way for the nine travel teams. Since the fall season ended, most teams participated in indoor soccer leagues during the winter.
