Erwin Lavery Centennial Event
Erwin Lavery of Oyster Bay is celebrating his 100th year. His willingness to help others has made him friends everywhere: at the Doubleday Babcock Senior Center, at St. Paul's Methodist Church, the Community United Methodist Church and at the Masonic Lodge. On Saturday, June 23, the Masons invited Erwin and his friends to a birthday party in his honor at the Oyster Bay Landmark Matinecock Lodge.

Friends Academy Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team Makes Playoffs
The Friends Academy boys varsity lacrosse team made the Nassau county playoffs. Coached by Kal Wynot, the team unfortunately lost a hard fought game to Bethpage in the first round. Juniors Keith Regelmann and Tim Dooley received honorable mention all county and senior Pete Williamson, juniors Dwight Phyall and Joe Mauri and sophomore Brad Neuman received all conference honors. The team was captained by seniors Ryan Collins, Will Gardiner and Pete Williamson.
