Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School recognized the achievements of its outstanding students at its Annual Honors Banquet held on June 18 at the Swan Club in Glenwood Landing. Among those honored was sophomore Danielle Tascone, a resident of Oyster Bay, who received the Winter Cheerleading Most Valuable Player Award.
LuHi Athletic MVP Awards are presented to the most valuable player on each of the 2000-2001 varsity sports teams. Danielle was named MVP of the Winter Crusaders Cheerleading Team in recognition of her athletic talent, high standard of sportsmanship, and ability to serve as a positive role model for her teammates.
Also honored was junior Matthew Scott, a resident of Oyster Bay, who received the Most Valuable Player Award for Winter Track.
