"It's taken on Larrabee Avenue, going down toward the railroad track," said Beatrice Cardinale.
Mrs. Cardinale lives in Locust Valley and had a story about the new restaurant on the plaza. "It's now Brown's Tavern on the old plaza. The owner is Diana Rigg of Scotland and she is married to Dick Kaiser. His grandmother's maiden name was Brown and her mother's maiden name was Brown so that was the name they picked. He is from Locust Valley."
She thought last week's picture was taken in front of Stillwel Garage. She said, "I love seeing all these flags out. Everyone on my block has a flag. The last one was put up today."
Billy Minicozzi called and said, "I think the mystery photo is red houses on Orchard Street." It is a red house!
Most of all he wanted you to know that the Bayville Haunted Fire House is going on. Come one and all he said. It is open on Fridays from 6 to 11 p.m. and on Halloween night until 10 p.m.
It's a great event, and not to be missed. Call 922-1922 for more information.
