How Well Do You Know the Area? Do you know where this week's picture was taken? If you do, call the Enterprise-Pilot at 747-8282 and let us know. If you have a picture that you think might be interesting for others to guess, drop it off in our box at Pleasant Valley Gallery & Gifts, 101 South Street, Oyster Bay.

Charleen Niznik said, "The mystery picture for Feb. 5, was taken on Summers Street, looking down from the top of the hill." It is especially great that she should call because the picture was taken while the Enterprise Pilot was taking the pictures of the houses that won the Holidays in Oyster Bay home decorating contest. Ms. Niznik was the chair of the seasonal event.
Billy Minicozzi called to say it was a picture of Summers Street.
Fran Raymond said, "I know the mystery picture. It's Summers Street. I take my sister Mary home, she lives on and I always stop at the top of Summers and I look at the shore of Connecticut and the bay. It's beautiful there."
Wendy Blake said, "The picture is taken standing at the top of Summers Street, looking out over the Sound, looking north. The small pickup truck on the right side of the picture is actually my husband's truck."
"It's Summers Street looking down the street, which is looking north toward the harbor," said Barbara Pollack.
Michelle Cuddeback called and said, "It's Summit Street," which was a good guess, since it too has a high ridge hill.
A young lady, Amanda Garcia, called and described the picture, correctly, as Summers Street.
We haven't received a call about the photograph from Jan. 22 and we are going to give the answer. The picture was taken by Robert Fitzpatrick and is a view of Rothmann's restaurant, on Northern Boulevard. Most of us ride by the spot in our cars and don't see the detail. Actually it was interesting to see all the great guesses we had: the design certainly fits into the local area.
