Linda Sue Benson, of Old Brookville, died on Feb. 12, 2004. Beloved daughter of Marilyn and Ernest. Loving sister of Cort Benson (Diane) and Lisa Smiley (Forbes). Dear niece of Marion Rayve. Also survived by her stepfather Angelo Bellidora; step-sisters, Angela Anton and Carol Bellidora; nephew, Ned Smiley; nieces, Nichole and Melanie Benson; cousins, Leigh, Diana, Jennifer, Karen, Robert, Jonathon, Kristen and Drew. Alfred Michael Guidone, of Locust Valley, died on Feb. 13, 2004. A US Army veteran who served in Korea, he was a retired LIRR conductor. Husband of Paula. Father of Mary Valle (Daniel), Geralyn Staab (Richard) and Michael (Dawn). Grandfather of Hannah and Allyson Staab, Elena Valle and Margaret Guidone. Brother of Louis Guidone and the late Marie Bright. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home Glen Head. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gertrude's RC Church. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery.
Ann Arata, a lifelong resident of Oyster Bay died on Feb. 18, 2004. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Arata. She was the loving mother of Frank Jr. (Rachel). She was the cherished grandmother of Stephanie Arata and Nicole Suffardo. She was the great-grandmother of three.
Visiting was at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Inc., Oyster Bay on Friday, Feb. 20. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Dominic's R.C. Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 21. The interment was at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Huntington.
