Francis P. Anderson, of Bethpage, formerly of East Norwich, died on March 5, 2004. He was a retired Lt. Col. US Air and a member of the American Legion Syosset Post and Council #1206 K of C. Husband of Rita. Father of Francis J., Theresa (Michael) Owczar, Rita (Kevin) King and Eugene M. (Lyn). Grandfather of Kevin and Caileen. Arrangements were made by the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass at St. Dominic's RC Chapel. Interment Queen of All Saints Cemetery, Central Islip. Donations may be made in memory of Francis to Good Shepherd Hospice, 528 Mineola Ave., Carle Place, NY.

James Papsidero, of Great Neck, formerly of Locust Valley, died on March 6, 2004. Father of Micheline and the late James Jr. Brother of Joseph (Lee), Edward (late Florence), Ralph (Fanny), the late Frank (Camille) and Freddie. Arrangements were made by the Marcus L. Bianconi Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Patrick. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.

Mary Fierro, of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, died on March 9, 2004. Mother of Frank. Grandmother of Anthony, Francis, Peter, Thomas and Elizabeth McKenna. Great-grandmother of eight. George N. "Hawky" Hawxhurst, 69, of Oyster Bay, died on March 10, 2004. He retired after 34 years of service from the Town of Oyster Bay Highway Dept. He was an honorary member and ex-trustee of Oyster Bay Fire Co. #1, North Shore Fire Council and Firemans' Benevolent Association. He was a US Navy veteran. Husband of Michelina (nee Minicozzi). Father of George C. (Irene), Paul and Karen Testa (Anthony). Grandpa of Gregory, William, Nicole and Christina. Brother-in-law of Rose and Dominic DeLucia and Angelina and Michael Pilla. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cousin of Doris Ranaldo and Ann McQuade. Son of the late Lillian and George Hawxhurst and the late Jacob Wiesel. Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Dominic's RC Chapel. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Donations may be made to Oyster Bay Fire Co. #1.
