William Burke answered the March 11 mystery picture saying, "It's Beekman Beach down by the WaterFront Center."

Billy Minicozzi guessed it was "Roosevelt Beach Park, with the sea gulls and big wall." That's an interesting way to describe the site - which although it is at Beekman Beach, it is on the waterfront area dominated by Roosevelt Beach. On a sports note, Billy is looking forward to spring baseball that is currently getting ready in Florida. He was, on the other hand, upset by the talk of steroids in baseball.

The photograph in the March 11 issue is the one that was taken by Betty Tiska and appeared on the Internet version of the newspaper, on Feb. 27, by mistake. It was too good to miss using, so we used it last week again. Thank you Betty!

We received answers identifying the Internet Mystery Picture from Feb. 27. The first answer was from Michael W. Smith now living in Silver Springs, Maryland. He said, "I used to go swimming at this beach, when I lived in Oyster Bay/Bayville in the early '80s." he added, "That picture was taken from the beach near West Shore Road and the Johnson [Jakobson] boat yard. The last time I was in Oyster Bay was in June 2002. I moved out of the Oyster Bay/Bayville area in 1980."

The mystery picture for this week, March 18 was taken by Robert Fitzpatrick. It is a really hard one to identify, which sometimes doesn't make for a good mystery picture because we want to hear from you - but we recognized it immediately. We hope you will too!
