New members of the Crew Club of Oyster Bay are shown practicing for the first time this season. These high school students have become dedicated to the sport of rowing even in 40 degree temperatures.

Donna Gaudio Marchetta, the parent of a student who has just joined the club said, "I can't tell you all the wonderful qualities this sport has to offer and I am truly excited that this opportunity is available."

The group invites all interested high school students to visit them as they train Monday through Friday from 3:45 to 6:15 p.m. at the Sagamore Rowing Association facility located on West End Avenue on the western waterfront of Oyster Bay.

The club is open to any high school student on Long Island interested in just starting or further developing their skills in the art of rowing.

For more information you can also visit the club through the SRA website at http://www.sagamorerowing.org or by calling 673-8304.
