Joseph G. Micco, a lifelong resident of Oyster Bay, died on April 12, 2004. He retired from Grumman in 1977 after 35 years of service. Husband of the late Angelina. Father of Joanne (Ron) Amadeo and James (Karen) Micco. Grandfather of six. Great-grandfather of Joseph. Arrangements were made by the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass at St. Dominic's RC Chapel. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.

John R. McQuade, a world class gentleman, pilot and longtime resident of Oyster Bay, died on April 15, 2004 in his 78th year. He was a corporal in the 66th Armored Battalion in WWII, serving in the European Theater of Operations.

He was an FAA certified flight instructor, a volunteer FAA appointed pilot safety counselor and a gentleman pilot of impeccable manner. He was also a certified "Goodfellow" of the Quiet Birdmen. He began his flying career in 1948 with Peruvian International Airlines. Before retirement, John McQuade flew for Aramco, with many years in the oil fields of the Arabian Desert. Returning to the US in 1967 he was superintendent for 25 years of "North Wood," the John M. Schiff Estate in Oyster Bay.

As a boater, he held the positions of AP and PT/LT/C of the Oyster Bay Power Squadron. He was a member of American Legion Quentin Roosevelt Post #4 and Knights of Columbus Council #1206.

Husband of Ann. Father of Sharon, Maureen (Libby) Beccarino, Peggy and Patricia Dovel. Grandfather of Nick and Corey Beccarino and Rory Dovel. Brother of Bernard "Brian," the late Francis and Paul.

Louis LaMarca, 91, of Oyster Bay, formerly of Glen Cove and Boca Raton, FL, died on April 16, 2004. He was a former Grand Knight and Fourth Degree member of the Oyster Bay Council Knights of Columbus. Husband of the late Marian. Father of Anthony (Florence), Lawrence (Rosemary) and Louis (Christine). Grandfather of Richard (Christina), Christine, Suzanne Collette ( Charles), the late David (Nicole), Eileen Rehn (Thomas), Lawrence, Daniel, Shaune and Stephen. Great-grandfather of Brianna, Anthony, Joanna, Gabriella, Danielle, Charles, Sarah, Nicholas and Jennifer. Brother of Charles, the late John, the late Joseph and the late Rose Younger. Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Mass at St. Dominic's RC Chapel. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, LI Region, 365 Willis Ave., Mineola, NY 11501.

Arthur B. Collins, of Bayville, died on April 20, 2004. He was a 3rd Degree Knight in the Fr. Thomas F. Connelly Council K of C and a longtime member of the Holy Name Society of St. Gertrude's. He served as the Republican leader in Bayville, after serving for over 20 years as a committeeman, as well as trustee for the Village of Bayville. Husband of the late Joan. Father of Joanne (William) Schrack, Kevin (Joan), Raymond (Elaine) and Chris. Grandfather of Billy, Thomas, Robert, Meghan, Sarah and Sean. Also survived by his friend Joseph Geraghty and many other friends. He will be remembered for his kind and thoughtful ways and great sense of humor. Arrangements were made by the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass at St. Gertrude's RC Church. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery.
