IHNC Celebrates Humanitarians
People often say what a wonderful community this is to live in. That may very well be a result of the people honored this year as the Interreligious and Human Needs Council held its annual dinner at St. Dominic's Church social room on Monday, May 3. The people honored help make this community what it is.

Statewide School Budget Elections May 18
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Board of Education budget for the 2004-2005 school year is $39,546,020, which represents a 9.758 percent increase over the current budget. Copies of the budget are available at each school, the Administration Building on McCoun's Lane and the Oyster Bay Public Library and a budget brochure is being mailed to homes in the community.

Learning Earth Science in Oyster Bay
Oyster Bay Rotary came through recently to help students from Mill Neck Manor learn at the WaterFront Center in Oyster Bay. High school students at Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf learned a great deal as they worked on earth science firsthand this year. Teaming up with the Waterfront Center in Oyster Bay for a special program, students are putting the science curriculum into action by examining, observing and dissecting.

Friends Academy Varsity Athletes Excel
Friends Academy is very proud of its winter varsity student/athletes. The boys basketball team won the Long Island Championship and several athletes received Nassau County honors.
