The East Norwich block party was a very sweet event. It was amazing to see how many children there are in the neighborhood, although many were probably grandchildren come to spend the day.

The party started at 11 a.m. and we saw the castle bounce going up. We had things to do out of town and came back late in the afternoon to see the children lined up for the giant blow up slide.

People brought tables and cooked food on the community grill and enjoyed cake from the community dessert table.

It was a great event and a big thank you to all the young families who organized the event. Vicki Walsh and Sean and Diane Rainey, Tom Egan, Jake Jarvis, Terry and Mary Ann Kelly, Gina Oliver and Theresa Orlowski did a great job. They prove what a nice place East Norwich is to live and play.

The Town of Oyster Bay uses that as their slogan and East Norwich showed it was true on June 12, as well as the rest of the year.
