Arthur G. Phillips, 94, died July 11, 2004, in Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart, FL. Born in Glen Cove, formerly of Syosset, he relocated to Stuart in 1970 with his wife, Emily Mills Phillips, who predeceased him.

During WWII he served in the Army. Prior to his retirement he was a telephone installer with the NY Telephone Company for 44 years; most of those years were spent in the Oyster Bay area.

Survivors include his brother, Robert Phillips of Medina, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Martin and St. Lucie Inc., 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL, 34997.

Arnold H. MacLennan, 73, longtime resident of Locust Valley, tragically left us on Aug. 13, 2004. He retired from NYNEX after 35 years. He was a volunteer of the Locust Valley Fire Dept. for 50 years. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Tate) of 51 years. Loving father of Susan (Kevin) Watson, Sandra (Jeffrey) Nieri, and Sharon (John) Cook. Adored poppy of Sean, Meredith and Liam Watson, Christopher and Alexandra Nieri, Cole and Cooper Cook. Also survived by his brother Alexander of Brooksville, FL. He leaves behind many cherished neighbors and friends, his brothers of the LVFD and his beloved cats Coco and Blackie. Forever in our hearts. Ellen M. Falcinelli (nee Wheeler), 73, of Lakeville, PA, formerly of Locust Valley, died on Aug. 14, 2004. Wife of John R. Mother of Jeanne, Ellen Heffernan (John), Elisabeth Moffitt (Pete), Carol and the late John (Susan).
