Vera Currier died on September 28, 2004 at the age of 95. A lifelong resident of Ridgewood, NY, she was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence and the loving mother of Jeanne von Hoffen of Oyster Bay. She was the devoted grandmother of Lisa, Lore (Jody Greenstein) and Linda (Joseph Barilla). She was the cherished great-grandmother of seven.
She was the dear sister of Jane Herrick, and the late Lee Fazio and Anne Martorano. She is also survived by loving relatives.
Visiting was at the Oyster Funeral Home on Thursday Sept. 30 and Friday, Oct. 1. A Funeral Mass was held in the St. Dominic R.C. Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 2. The interment was at St. Charles Cemetery.
John L. DiLillo died on September 28, 2004. A longtime resident of Oyster Bay he was the beloved husband of Rachel. He was the loving father of Rachel (Frank) Arata, John (Mary Ann), Nancy (Eugene) Stadnyk, Paul (Jeanine). He was the loving grandfather of seven and the great-grandfather of three.
Mr. DiLillo was an usher at St. Dominic's R.C. Church for over 50 years, the last Charter member of the Oyster Bay Lions Club, a member of the Quentin Roosevelt Post #4 American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus Council #1206.
Visiting was at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Mass was held on Friday, Oct. 1 at St. Dominic's R.C. Chapel. The Interment followed at Holy Rood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the L.I. Alzheimer's Foundation, 5 Channel Drive, Port Washington, NY 11050.
Frederick W. DeVoe of Bayville and Locust Valley on October 1, 2004 at age 64. He was the beloved husband of the late Mari Ann and the loving father of Frederick W., Jr. (Mindy), Scott (Christy), David and Todd Steward. He was the dear brother of Margaret Soper (Bob) and a proud grandfather and uncle. Visiting was at the Funeral Home of Dodge-Thomas of Glen Cove. The service was held at the funeral home with the Reverend Robert Liebold officiating. The interment was at the Locust Valley Cemetery.
