Charles O. Thompson of Oyster Bay died on October 9, 2004 at the age of 74. He was the husband of Jean Thompson. He was the father of Charles K., Peggy Sexbolt, Ward Meyer and Ed E. Conyers. He was the brother of Howard and the grandfather of 10.

A service was held at St. John's of Lattingtown. The family requested donations to North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove in honor of the nurses who cared for him. The Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home made the arrangements, Glen Cove.

Dorothy J. Dituro of Locust Valley died on October 12, 2004 at the age of 75. She was the beloved wife of Bart and the loving mother of Michael (Cindy), David (Maryann), and Maria Fanelli (Daniel). She was the dear sister of the late Audrey Spiller and the proud grandmother of Tricia, Matthew and Caitlin.

Visitation was at the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. A Mass was held at St. Gertrude's R.C. Church in Bayville with the Interment following at the Locust Valley Cemetery.

Ida B. Gore of Bayville died on October 14, 2004 at the age of 80. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard S. Gore. She was the loving mother of Barbara Suter (Bob), Leonard S. (Linda), Helene Henken (the late Bob), Belinda Hager (Jim), Lester (Valerie), Lance, Heidi Kinnear (Gene) and Lloyd (Pam). She was the dear sister of Katherine Ward and the proud grandmother of six.

Visiting was at the Funeral Home of Dodge-Thomas of Glen Cove. A service was held at Trinity Lutheran Church of Glen Cove and the Interment was at Bayville Cemetery. The family has requested donations to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of New York.

William E. Spence of Bayville died on October 17, 2004 at the age of 67. He was the beloved husband of Rita Spence. He is also survived by his loving children, cherished grandchildren, relatives and many friends.

Mr. Spence was the owner of the Breakers restaurant, a family landmark in Bayville for 32 years. Visiting was held at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 19. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at St. Gertrude's R.C. Church. The Interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Contributions can be made in Bill's name to Good Shepherd Hospice, 4747-20 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776.

William J. Dalton, Jr. died on October 22, 2004 in Cutchogue, at the age of 71. He was formerly of Huntington. He was the beloved father of William J. III (Lorraine Eliseo), and Christopher M. (Susan Gulyassy), Marianne Kanji (Golub). He was the cherished grandfather of Ashley, Raine, Lili, Tyler, Trevor and Nicholas. He was the dear brother of Mimi Nicklas (Richard). He was the devoted friend of Carol Grothear.

John D. Cleary of Bayville died on October 18, 2004 at the age of 71. He was the beloved husband of Helen Cleary. He was the loving father of Thomas and Christine Zukowski (Edward). He was the cherished Poppy of Laura, Daniel and Nicole. He was the dear brother of Madeline Bromm, Jacqueline Flynn, Thomas, Marina Walker, Walter Christiansen and Connie Hooker. He was the dear friend of Michael and Denise Honvich. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cleary was a retired Deputy Chief of the Nassau County Police Department. Visiting was at the Oyster Bay Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday. A funeral Mass was held at St. Gertrude R.C. Church in Bayville on Friday. The Interment was private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Development Disabilities Institute, 99 Hollywood Drive, Smithtown, NY 11787 would be appreciated.

Louis V. Capozzoli of East Norwich died on October 20, 2004 at the age of 86. Mr. Capozzoli was the beloved husband of Dorothy. He was the loving father of Louis A. (Kimberly), Laurie Doody (Chris), Lisa C. Smith, Leslie, Lance and Joseph. He was the cherished grandfather of Joshua, Christopher, Luke, Jonathan and Hannah. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting was at the Oyster Bay Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday. A Firematic Service was held on Friday. A funeral Mass was held at St. Dominic R.C. Chapel on Saturday. The Interment was at St. John's Church, Laurel Hollow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 839 Stewart Ave., Garden City, NY 11530 would be appreciated.
