OB RR Museum Needs Funding
Saturday, Nov. 13 was a day to stand back and enjoy the completion of Phase II in the restoration of the Oyster Bay Rail Road Museum located at the foot of Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay. Chairman Ben Jankowski said, "The renovation of the exterior of the Oyster Bay Rail Road Museum is 70 percent complete. The work has been done with donated funds from the community, mostly in donations of $100 each." It's a grass roots movement with local residents, people interested in preservation and railroad fans contributing to the work.

Muttontown Raises False Alarm Fines
The seven villages that use the services of the Old Brookville Police Department are trying to attract the attention of their residents to the need to stop setting off false alarms. The villages are Old Brookville, Matinecock, Muttontown, Brookville, Upper Brookville, Mill Neck and Cove Neck. At the Monday, Nov. 8, Village of Muttontown trustees' meeting Mayor Richard Murcott said they were planning to raise the fees for false alarms with Local Law 4-2004.

Local Runners Score in 5K Race
Nearly 500 enthusiastic runners toed the starting line on Larabee Avenue Saturday morning, Oct. 16, for the 17th annual Oyster Bay Town Supervisor's 5 Kilometer Run, in a field that included a very large contingent of runners from the local area.
