TR Park Carousel Ride Begins Again
The Oyster Bay Main Street Association is working on a proposal to place a carousel in Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park with a theme based on the life of TR, our 26th president and the only president from Long Island. It is not the only proposal for the park; the Oyster Bay Civic Association will soon unveil a passive plan that follows the original deed's requests of having "no carousel" in the TR Memorial Park.

Community Foundation Appeal Kickoff
Mrs. George O'Neill again hosted the kickoff for the Community Foundation of Oyster Bay (CFOB) annual appeal at her home on Jan. 30. She and her husband are members of the CFOB board. David H. Deming is board president; Mrs. Paul McNicol is vice president; Mrs. Augusta Reese Donohue is secretary; Mrs. William E. Sheeline is assistant secretary; Joseph T. Donohue, Jr. is treasurer and David B. Townsend is the assistant treasurer.

Field Hockey Gains Academic Honors for Locust Valley Student Jennifer Spindler
Locust Valley High School senior Jennifer Spindler has been playing field hockey since the seventh grade and her dedication has paid huge dividends. Jennifer was selected a member of the 2005 High School National Academic Squad as voted on by the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association.
