How Well Do You Know the Area? Do you know where this week's picture was taken? If you do, call the Enterprise-Pilot at 747-8282 and let us know. If you have a picture that you think might be interesting for others to guess, drop it off in our box at Raynham Hall Museum, 20 East Main St., Oyster Bay.

Billy Minicozzi called on Thursday, March 2 as the snow was beginning to fall. "We're getting the snow they predicted," he said. As to the mystery picture of March 2, he said, "It's taken by the Bayville Bridge." Billy wanted to congratulate his cousin David Agostinello who is now the area foreman at the Town of Oyster Bay Miller Place Yard. On a sport's note, he said, "The Nicks are having a bad season on the basketball court. I hope the Mets will be in the World Series in October. And on a hockey note: he said, "In the Olympics the Swedish won the gold medal and the Finnish won the silver."
The mystery picture was also answered by Mr. Alfano of Bayville who correctly identified it as the Frank M. Flower's hatchery building. We are working with new computer software and lost his lovely comments. We hope he will call this week again. The photo was sent in by Betty Tiska. She said, "Hank and I were wide-eyed guests at the Frank M. Flower & Sons Hatchery in Bayville where co-owner Dave Relyea gave us a spectacularly impressive tour of the oyster breeding facility on Valentine's Day (a very big spawning day for the oysters)."
She was kidding about it being a big day for the oysters. We chatted with Eileen and Dave Relyea at the North Shore Country Club for the Raynham Hall auction. There were of course Pine Island oysters on the half shell to enjoy! Eileen said she almost called with the answer to the mystery picture. We told her of Betty's comment and everyone laughed heartily.
