School Board Thanks Baer and Nardone for Their Work
Though the 2000-2001 school year was nearly at an end at the time of its June 19 meeting, the PW Board of Education was already looking ahead to the next school year, discussing potential class size, inspections of buildings for safety, and announcing many changes in District personnel. In addition, two outgoing school board members, Alan Baer and Dean Nardone, were formally recognized and thanked for their service.

40th Anniversary Party Honors Port Washington Senior Citizens, Inc. and Morrey Barsky
On May 20, the community joined with Port seniors to celebrate their 40th anniversary and to honor their founder, Morrey Barsky. A fund-raising dinner dance was held at the senior center, 80 Manorhaven Blvd. A delicious buffet dinner was catered by Bayview Deli. Music was provided by The Port Trio and beautiful floral decorations were arranged and donated by Falconers. Balloons were donated by Creations by Linda Valenza.

Weekly Kicks
The spring soccer season has come to its inevitable conclusion. Intramurals taught skills and teamwork to hundreds of boys and girls. Travel teams improved on those abilities and expanded on the roles of sportsmanship and competition.
