Draft Statement on 41-Acre Senior House Proposal
The 41 acres in Port Washington North owned by Dallas Realty was once again the source of some "development" controversy. At a public hearing held on Dec. 11 by the Village of Port Washington North, the board of trustees listened to citizens' comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement to help the board determine whether or not it should approve a change of zone for the property. The rezoning involves changing the parcel from Economic Development A to a new proposed Senior Housing District and development of the site in accordance with the new zoning.

Best Year Ever for Weber's Co-Ed Cross Country Team
This year has been the best year ever for Weber's co-ed cross country team. Both the girls team and boys team produced the best season ever. The girls had 23 wins to seven losses. The boys finished with 28 wins and three losses. Both teams were formed seven years ago. Early in the season the members of both teams decided that they wished to extend the team's reputation. From then both teams trained together and trained hard to produce the season they did.

On The Bay
Last Sunday, Dec. 16, was a terrific day to be sailing. While the day couldn't qualify as a true frostbiting day, as the winds were not howling, and there was no rain, sleet or snow, the weather still had a chill in the air and the skippers and their crews came back to land ready to be warmed by a fire in the grill room fireplace and hot chocolate. Winds were between 6-8 knots, shifting throughout the day.
