Schreiber Boasts Eight Intel Semifinalists!
Eight outstanding seniors from Schreiber's science research program were chosen as semifinalists by the prestigious Intel Science Talent Search (STS), often considered the "junior Nobel prize." The Intel STS recognizes America's brightest students and their schools for excellence in science and math. Formerly known as the Westinghouse, this was the 62nd STS. Since that doesn't look too promising, sailors and crew will have to bide their time until the thaw or find some ice boats with which to compete. Or maybe we can start ice skating races. Knowing the ingenuity and fun-loving nature of this group, anything they think up will not be a surprise. In the meantime, next week is Super Bowl Sunday, and within a few weeks the America's Cup will be broadcast on ESPN starting Feb. 15.
