I don't want any more time to pass without thanking you for your kindness recently in running an ad - in your issue of May 29 - for my lost orange and white cat. The ad generated several calls from kindly local citizens, who told us of the neighborhood he was in. We even saw him there but were not able to catch him until we borrowed a humane trap from the Animal Lovers League Shelter in Glen Cove. Although very thin and dirty when caught, after 20 days, he is beginning to thrive again now in the bosom of his family and the contribution of your ad to this happy result is acknowledged with great appreciation.

One thought - it seems unfortunate that there was no place closer than Glen Cove where I could borrow (or even buy) a simple trap of the kind needed. I feel that the North Shore Animal League and/or the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter should give serious consideration to having such equipment available in Port Washington on some basis.
