A cool wet season ended with an impressive record for the ladies varsity softball team. This was a very good year finishing with an 11-3 record, only one game behind the first place team. The team was lead by Coach Erin Fealy and assisted by Jeane Carroll. Coach Fealy noted that this team never gave up during any regular season game. She added "during the season both opposing coaches and umpires commented on how our team had great sportsmanship and a well organized program. I think that the fact that we valued sportsmanship and were committed to each other proves our success, more than our record."

In a show of team commitment, tradition and support to each other at the last game, the juniors made a presentation of flowers and speeches to the graduating seniors. This was followed by hugs and tears. The five seniors who put their heart into this game over the last four years are Roma Chopra (NY Institute of Technology), Amanda Lefton (SUNY Albany), Ann Sautkulis (Springfield College), Danielle Russo ( University of Tampa), Nicole Verni (SUNY Albany). Harborview Deli also provided 4 foot heros for the end of season picnic after the home game.

For 2003 the following players should be noted. For All Conference it is Ann Sautkulis and Danielle Russo. For All Division it is Nicole DeMeo. The Scholar-Athlete is Nicole Verni.
