At every school at the end of the school year there are many parents contributing their time and efforts to celebrating the graduation of their children. At Daly Elementary School so many parents made the celebration so incredible, we thought we had to give them public credit for making the fifth grade graduating class have a spectacular time on their class trip to the city to see Aida, at their party at Harbor Acres Beach and at their moving-up ceremony.

Special thanks to Debra Odell who, amongst other things, made all the arrangements for lunch and the Broadway show--everything was perfect, including fabulous orchestra seats. Erika Silver produced a 50-page, full-color yearbook that deserves a design award and Kevin Kreiger printed double the number of copies so every child had two yearbooks.

The fundraising surpassed all of our expectations. Debbie Zuffante ran five bake sales that the children loved and that brought in a substantial sum. Jayshree Sewhani ran the school store that raised more money than any year before. And special thanks to Janine Buss for the stationery, Ellen Fox for a fun and successful Bingo night, Julie Freudenheim for the sale of hundreds of homemade chocolate roses, Kathy Minicucci for the pasta sale, Debra Odell for the Razzano's fundraiser and Principal for a Day, Erika Silver and Terry McCoy for donating sports tickets for raffles and Ellen Weiss for a terrific Ladies' Night Out.

The planning committee made great decisions and implemented everything just as planned for our beach party. Everyone who had a responsibility came through and created an evening the children will long remember. Special thanks to Melissa Aigen, Lisa Beall (and her Dad), Dara Berliner, Maria Cantele, Debbie Cindrich, Margaret Commons, Kerry McCoy, Ellen Weiss, Ellen Fox, Julie Freudenheim, Terry Grove, Cindy Jordan, Patty Imperatore, Rosa Lanoue, Karen Leonard, Kathy Minicucci, Karen Quesada, Margie Remler and Alma Rivera.

Thank you everyone for a terrific job that paid off in lots of smiles and wonderful memories for the children. No one ever forgot that that was what it was all about.
