As some of the readers of the Aug. 14 issue of the Port News might have noted, I am currently serving as vice chairman of the Nassau County Revenue Generation and Economic Development Commission. The mission of the commission is, as the Port News stated, "to generate alternative and innovative revenue sources for Nassau County."
To that end, I would like to invite Port Washington residents to share with me any thoughts or suggestions they might have on the subject. Since I am a firm believer that an involved public is the best public, I welcome the public's input. Remember, however, that the focus must be on creating implementable solutions for Nassau County.
Please send your ideas to me at: 500 Old Country Road, Suite 103, Garden City, NY 11530. If there is enough interest, I would be happy to arrange a hearing in Port so that suggestions could be discussed publicly. I look forward to hearing from you.
