A memorial service and celebration of the life of Margaret Bartlett Shaw will take place on Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Friends Meeting House, Northern Blvd., Manhasset. A special memorial service will be held for Paul Wood at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 at Temple Emanuel, Hicks Ln., Great Neck. Mr. Wood designed the stained glass installation and the ark in the sanctuary at Temple Emanuel, which is also the home of the Paul Wood Art Gallery. The memorial service will be a musical and artistic tribute to the life of this amazing man who passed away on Aug. 24. Kathryn O'Donoghue Griffith died on Aug. 28, 2003 in Huntington. She was former chairman of the speech department of George Washington High School, NYC. Beloved wife of the late Francis Griffith, assistant superintendent of New York City Public Schools. Loving aunt of John and Yvonne Driscoll, Peter Driscoll, Sheila and Al Rosenthal, Doug and Margaret Chandler, Ruth Connolly, Jim and Peggy Connolly, Eileen Connolly, Edward Bellamy. Your love of life will continue to live on in each of us. Francesca Siconolfi, 79, formerly of Port Washington, died on Sept. 14, 2003 at Heritage Hall in Leesburg, VA. Francesca was predeceased by her husband Joseph. She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Gray (Frank) of Reston, VA; her grandsons Daniel L. and David J. Gray; and her great-grandson Andrew L. Gray. Francesca was born Dec. 18, 1923 in Pozzuoli, Italy. She was a retired nanny. At the time of her death, she was living in Reston. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter of Alcantara RC Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery. Bernardino V. D'Aversa, 92, of Port Washington, died on Sept. 14, 2003. Husband of the late Filomena. Father of Constantino (Concetta), Mario (Maria), Giulio (Marian), Bruno (Carmella) and Salvatore. Grandfather of nine. Great-grandfather of 16. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
