June G. Keller, formerly of Port Washington, died on Oct. 16, 2003 at the age of 83. She lived in Port Washington for over 40 years. June, and her late husband Hal, raised two sons in Port: Bill, a 1969 graduate of Schreiber and Ed, a 1973 graduate. She was an employee of the Port Washington Public Schools for over 20 years. June was active in school district related activities having served as a PTA president, chair of the 1969 Senior Gambol and as a member of the Adult Education Advisory Committee. In addition to her two sons, June is survived by two loving daughters-in-law, Lynn and Karen; and five grandchildren, Isabel, Emma, Sean, Meredith and Jake. The funeral was held Oct. 20. Donations in memory of June can be made to the Port Washington Education Foundation, PO Box 909, Port Washington, NY 11050.

Sandra J. Watson, 65, of Wiscasset, Maine, died peacefully at her home on Oct. 22, 2003, after a courageous 10-year battle with emphysema. During the last year she was under the kind and capable care of Miles Home Hospice of Damariscotta.

Mrs. Watson was born Aug. 29, 1938 in Ft. Edward, NY, the daughter of Gerhard A. and Anne Rumstick Allen. Her father emigrated to the US from Sweden and her mother from Germany. She attended schools both in Port Washington and St. Cloud, FL. After completing high school in NY, she attended LI Beauty School, later becoming a beautician.

Sandra married Bill Watson of Port Washington in 1958 and continued to work a number of years until the birth of her daughter, Diane Juanita, after which she became a full time homemaker. She was deeply devoted to her family and home all her married life.

In 1993 Sandra and her husband moved to Brunswick, ME, from the Albany area where he had been employed for 23 years by the NYS Museum. In 1995 they moved to their new house in Wiscasset.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Bill Watson; their daughter, Diane J. Watson of Bath; a younger brother, Karl G. Allen and his wife Stephanie of Aliso Viejo, CA; and numerous nieces and cousins.

At Mrs. Watson's request there will be no memorial service. Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of ME (1-800-499-5864. Funeral arrangements were private.

Wesley George Seifts, 92, currently of North Port, FL, formerly of Port Washington, died on Oct. 16, 2003. He was predeceased by his wife Theresa Mary Lydon. They were married 51 years. He was born and raised in Port Washington. He was predeceased by his brother Dallas.

He is survived by his five children, Donald, William and Robert of North Port, Virginia of Clinton, CT, and Joseph of Naperville, IL; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by the Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel. A private memorial mass will be held at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port where upon his ashes will be flown to Port Washington for burial beside his wife at Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
