The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society (CNPHS) would like to publicly thank all of the volunteers who donated their time, the businesses that donated goods, and the organizations that supported our annual Country Fair on Sept. 21. It is due to your support, and the support of the community, that the CNPHS can continue to keep history alive in Port Washington.
Despite a little rain, the Fair was a great success, highlighted by the Anton Newspapers-sponsored Pie Eating contest, judged by Angela Susan Anton. We look forward to continuing our tradition of the Fall Country Fair and hope everyone will join us again at next year’s fair.
In the meantime, please come to our Holiday Fair on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Sands-Willets house for homemade treats, crafts, local Dodge House honey, treasures for holiday gifts, gingerbread houses, surprise visitors for the kids, a new contest or two and to meet other community members who are interested in the history of our very special town. Thank you again to all those who helped make the Fair a reality.
