Street Fair Draws 7,000
The Village of Roslyn and the Chamber of Commerce held its 18th annual street fair last Sunday. More than 125 exhibitors, displaying furniture, paintings, pottery, used books and magazines and other accessories set up booths along Old Northern Boulevard.

Long Islanders may still pay among the highest taxes in all of America, but at least for residents of Roslyn, that burden was spared another slight increase when the board of trustees eliminated the originally planned 14 percent increase in new taxes for the 1998-99 budget.
