The William Cullen Bryant Society will commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Roslyn poet's death with a memorial ceremony at the Roslyn Cemetery on Northern Blvd. on Friday, June 12, at 9 a.m. The memorial, to be held at the Bryant family plot, will include the reading of some of Bryant's poems and prayers by the Rev. The restoration of old homes has been a major project for numerous Roslyn citizens and government officials over the past four decades. Last Saturday, the Roslyn Landmark Society hosted its 38th annual house tour of historic homes in the village. The weather cooperated and according to Les Arstark, president of the Landmark Society, up to 400 people paid $15 each to visit seven homes, plus the Roslyn Clock Tower. FULL STORY
