Promoting A Literary Legend
In its long history, Roslyn has either produced or been home to a number of American literary figures. There is Christopher Morley, the popular journalist and playwright who has an entire park named after him. Novelists educated at our public school system include Michael Crichton, whose books are no strangers to best seller lists and Cameron Stracher, author of a recent, well-received first novel. The poet Norbert Krapf and longtime sports columnist Stan Isaacs are among the authors who call Roslyn home.

Harbor Links to Open July 27
The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce will hold its first golf outing and the first golf outing at the brand new Town of North Hempstead Harbor Links Golf Course on Monday, July 27. The course is expected to be open to the public in mid-July. On Thursday, June 4, Gerard Olsen, North Hempstead's Parks Commissioner, gave a tour of the course to Betsy Chesebrough, president of the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, Charlie Chesebrough and Brian Jennings, co-chairmen of the golf outing.
