Representatives of the nine municipalities of the Hempstead Harbor Protection Committee met last Thursday at the Bryant Library to discuss the implementation of its newly-completed Water Quality Improvement Plan. The North Shore field hockey team finished their regular season undefeated in their league. The next game was Tuesday, Nov. 3 - the first playoff game - against our all-time rival Carle Place.
