    After eliminating a proposed 7.5 percent tax increase from its preliminary budget, the Roslyn Village Board of Trustees voted on and passed their 1999-2000 budget. The budget's final appropriation number was $3,034,483 with a zero tax increase. FULL STORY

    A broad based offensive performance boosted the Liberties to a 9-4 victory over the Indians. Brandon Reiner reached base all three at-bats, had a double in the second inning and scored two runs. Luis Alvarez was two for two, including a triple, and scored two runs. Neal Bass was also two for two. Josh Korder had two walks and scored twice.
