  • NEWS: Kushner Elected to EW School Board

    Residents in both the Roslyn and East Williston school districts approved their 1999-2000 budgets in voting that took place Tuesday, May 18. In Roslyn, there was no challengers to incumbent school board members seeking re-election. However, in East Williston challenger Robert Kusher defeated incumbent school board member Janet Entine, 1,518 to 1,189 in that district's lone contested school board race. FULL STORY

    The Roslyn community is mourning the death of Dr. Herbert H. Hyman, a longtime resident and one of the founders of Temple Sinai. Dr. Hyman passed away last Tuesday. He was 86. FULL STORY

  • SPORTS: Liberties Top Buffaloes 13-3

    On Tuesday evening, the Major League Liberties topped the Buffaloes 13-3 with the entire Liberties team contributing to the offense. Josh Korder had two hits (including a double) and scored two runs. Luis Alvarez also had two hits and scored a pair of runs. Franklin Sherman had two hits, two stolen bases and scored a run.
