Looking at a Life in Roslyn
Elizabeth Moger, a surviving member of one of Roslyn's most distinguished families, is planning on leaving the village. Mrs. Moger is the wife of the late Roy Moger, longtime board of trustee member, official village historian and author of the popular Roslyn, Then and Now history and guide to the village.

Tree Preservation Efforts
Officials of the village announced the receipt of a $2,000 donation to the Roslyn Tree Planting Fund made by LIPA/KeySpan Energy. Mayor Galante said, "This administration is committed to protecting one of the village's major natural resources and that is the urban forest. Recognition of this dedicated effort by the utilities is a positive step forward."

Tennis Winter Leagues Forming Now
The United States Tennis Association is looking for children between the ages of 6 to 18 years of age to participate in USA Team Tennis here on Long Island this winter. USA Team Tennis is a five month program of team practice and match play for boys and girls of all ability levels. Teams are organized to match players of similar age and ability. These teams then compete against other teams from the same geographic region. All participants have the chance to advance to regional and sectional team competition. This league is especially suited for high school level players.
