Julie Klein of Roslyn, a star member of the Binghamton University women's tennis squad led the Bearcats to victories over Slippery Rock (PA) and Shippensburg (PA) by identical 7-2 margins last week. The Bearcats didn't go undefeated for the week, however, losing 8-1 to Millersville (PA).

Ms. Klein won two of three singles matches, including an impressive three-set match over Millersville's top player. She also scored a 6-0, 6-1 win against Slippery Rock, and raised her record to 5-1 on the season. Ms. Klein is Binghamton's top rated women's singles tennis player.
