No Cell Phone Towers in Roslyn
An attempt by Sprint, the nationwide phone company to construct cellular phone towers in Roslyn has been put on hold by the Roslyn Village Board of Trustees. At the last BOT meeting, representatives from Sprint claimed that there were certain rights under recent Federal telecommunication laws that allowed them to supercede municipal and local laws concerning such construction.

Breast Cancer Walk
Recently, the East-Brook Realty of East Hills closed during business hours to participate in the five-mile "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk-a-thon at Jones Beach. Our staff, together with family and friends, raised thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society which was matched by East-Brook's owner/broker Aileen Murstein. They were proud to join Dr. Dwight Dersi of Great Neck, a surgeon specializing in diseases of the breast and more than 10,000 women, men and children who rallied in this most significant and rewarding day.
