BOT Approves Landing Road Transfer
The Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees has voted to "discontinue" the Landing Road/Bedell's Landing roadway, handing over the maintenance of the road to Forest City Daly, the firm that hopes to build senior housing in the village. The official transfer is scheduled to take place Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Awards for North Shore Athletes
North Shore High School athletes were honored at the athletic department's annual end-of-year awards banquet. Those earning special awards were Tristan Cummins and Sophie Melniker, The Outstanding Athlete Award; Ben Blackburn and Valerie Williams, the North Shore Scholar/Athlete Award; Michael Weiner and Amy Seng, both the Coaches' Award and the US Army Scholar/Athlete Award. The Peter Swanson North Shore Soccer Club Scholarship Award went to Brian Esermio, Edwin Mora, Timothy Rescigno and Meagan Wick; the Scott Kurz Scholarship Award to Thomas Granieri; the T. J. Zebrowski Scholarship Award to Lianne Dictor, and the DiMaria Scholarship to Tristan Cummins.
