Roslynite Opens Wildlife Exhibit
Mr. Rosenthal has explored the largest wetlands in the world, the Pantanal of Brazil, and photographed its wildlife---toucans, long haired anteaters, crocodiles, anacondas---even the largest rodents in the world, the capybara. His photographic essays capture the essence and uniqueness of each animal. Several diptychs create sequences of behavior similar to human actions. Many are beautiful depictions of wildlife that leave the viewer "slightly" breathless.

BOT Approves Learning Center
At its last public meeting, the Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a special use permit for property on 18-20 Roosevelt Ave. in Roslyn to be used as the Lindamood-Bell Learning Center.

Maccabi Gold Medal for Roslyn Athlete
Erin Finestone, (13 years old), the youngest member on the team, participated in the girls basketball 13-15-year-old division in the JCC Maccabi Games recently held in Richmond, VA. This Sid Jacobson JCC girls basketball team went undefeated with a record of 8-9 ... and, eventually, won the gold medal against Detroit. Teams from Israel, Great Britain, Los Angeles, Detroit and New Jersey participated in the actual Maccabi Games.
