Waterfront Revitalization Grant
The Village of Roslyn received a New Year's bonus - $73,000 in grant monies from the New York State Environmental Protection Fund to design a waterfront trail and resuse plan for the village-owned waterfront parcel. The successful application was put in place by Janet M. Insardi, a resident of the village, chair of the Village of Roslyn Planning Board and an environmental, land use and zoning attorney with the Mineola-based law firm Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, LLP (FCSMC&C). Ms. Insardi serves on the executive board of the Coalition to Save Hempstead Harbor.

Candidates List Governing Priorities
Candidates for the open seats on the Village of Roslyn's board of trustees made a public appearance last Wednesday night at the Bryant Library. There, they discussed what they considered to be the most important issues facing the village's future. The evening was sponsored by the Roslyn Community Party.

More Booster Basketball Results
Week #4 started off with many teams having to shake off the rust accumulated from two weeks vacation and holiday merriment. By half time of each game players were back to their old energetic ways with coaches saving the day by using their tried and true motivational gimmicks (i.e. ice cream for the team if you play defense for the rest of the game...) the players, the coaches and the parents sensed that it was time to get back to basketball business and they did.
