Balkan Named Athlete of the Year
The New York Jewish Sports Hall of Fame has announced the recipients of The Jules D. Mazor Award to the Outstanding Jewish High School Athletes of the Year. The recipients for 2001 are Adam Balkan, Sr. of Roslyn High School and Sarah Lowenthal of Bethpage High School.

'Dimple Chad' Does It Again
Chad Levy of East Hills again won a trophy in a tennis tournament held at the Robbie Wagner Tennis Center this past Sunday. The tournament culminated the September through January tennis ladder for division three. Chad was the youngest player to compete in the division and took second place in a closely fought final match. Here, Chad is pictured with a trophy and photos of his idol, Pete Sampras.
